I LOVE LISTS: Things to Accomplish This Summer

My dear friend Jen posted a list about things she wants to accomplish. I thought, what a great idea. Maybe it will keep me focused as my summer passes by. Thanks Jen!

1. Read Mosaic of Thought and discuss with my peers over coffee. (This one is in the bag!)
2. Read books just to read. I think I will begin a Reader's Log, just like Kathy, then I'll have something to take back to the classroom to show my students what it may look like.
3. Edge all my gardens, weed them, and Preen them.
4. Finish painting my garage. Ugh!
5. Begin walking nightly. Just a little.
6. Purge, purge, purge my files from school.
7. Begin mapping out the school year with my reading series and also with writing. Kathy, I may need to lean on you for this one!
8. Organize my home office space. (I got started early and almost have this one done!)
9. Practice patience with certain people in my life.
10. Blog, blog, blog away!
11. Practice taking better care of my plants, indoor and out. I will develop a green thumb!

Here it is. My list of things to accomplish over the summer. Wish me luck!

Holy Freaking Cow! You will be very busy. I can't wait to talk over Mosaic of Thought. I just finished it tonight. Love that book. I am going to start Reading for Meaning too.

Hey, I'd love to work together to come up with a model reading/writing class. That sounds like a plan to me. I LOVE your classroom and teaching style! Let's go for it!
